Nathalie’s passion for giving back to others is just as strong as her drive for the sport.

In addition to her record-breaking racing achievements and inspirational speaking, Nathalie is ambassador for a number of charities and non-profit organisations aimed at giving opportunities and support to minority groups who are widely under-represented in motorsport. Her passion for giving back to others is just as strong as her drive for the sport.

“2018 was an incredible year for me on and off the track. To achieve my first win in such a short space of time since I started racing was more than I could have ever expected. The FIA role I have been entrusted with is something I am so incredibly proud of and so passionate about making progress with. Being on the podium at the British Grand Prix to give Kimi his trophy was an absolute honour. Last year is going to be hard to beat but I’m hungry for more success and willing to put the hard work in the make this year the best yet.” – Nathalie McGloin

FIA PRESIDENT

Nathalie is President of the newly formed FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission…

The FIA is the governing body for world motor sport and the federation of the world’s leading motoring organisations.

Founded in 1904, with headquarters in Paris, the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) is a non-profit making association. It brings together 245 national motoring and sporting organisations from 143 countries on five continents. Its member clubs represent millions of motorists and their families.

While carving out a successful career on the race track, Nathalie made an impression on the governing body of motorsport, the FIA. After hearing Nathalie speak at the FIA International Sport Conference in 2017, Jean Todt (FIA President) appointed Nathalie the first President of the newly formed FIA Disability and Accessibility Commission. In her new role, Nathalie became the first disabled driver to present a trophy on the podium at the British Grand Prix, presenting third-place to Kimi Raikkonen. Nathalie is not only the youngest FIA Commission President, but also one of only three female Presidents. She’s also the only FIA member with a spinal cord injury.
